Healthy Monday:Green Smoothies

We are celebrating Valentine's on our blog all week long.  Today our Healthy Monday is a Valentine's edition.  With all the treats we or our kids will have this week it's the perfect time to give this healthy smoothie a try.  
Our days have been starting out with this delicious smoothie.  My husband and I love it and so do our kids.  At first my four year old boy had a hard time with the color.  A friend suggested calling it "hulk juice", and now he loves it.  It has made my other kids love it even more too.
Here's the recipe for our favorite green smoothie.

Green Smoothie Recipe:
2 cups water
2 oranges peeled
2 apples (cored and sliced)
Juice from one lemon and one lime
3 stalks of celery
2 bananas
2 cups of spinach
1 bunch parsley
1 cup frozen pinapple chunks
Handful of blueberries or raspberries

Blend until your desired consistency.
To make the smoothie sweeter add more fruit or you can add less fruit and cucumbers instead for a less sweet taste.
