4th of July Craft with Kids

I really love warm weather, but sometimes I need a break from over 100 degree temperatures.
Here is an easy craft to do with kids for the 4th of July.
Step 1: Gather your supplies.  You will need twine or ribbon, a hole punch, red paint, paintbrushes, scissors,  washi or painters tape, and paper plates and/or paper.  I used Target anchor paper plates and white silver starred paper.

Step 2: Cut the paper/plates you are using into triangles of the same size.
Step 3:  Use the tape to place one of the bunting triangles on a plate.
Step 4: Start painting.  My 4 and 7 year old loved doing this.
Step 5: Let the paint dry and remove the tape.  I think the little imperfections in the lines add to the look.
Step 6:  Arrange the paper bunting into the pattern you want.
Step 6: Punch two holes in each triangle of paper at the top.

Step 7: String your ribbon or twine through the punched holes and display.
Happy 4th of July!
